I am a puppeteer, animator and model maker currently based on the mainland of Orkney where I was brought up. My work includes puppet design, illustrating in a variety of mediums and designing and building characters, sets, props and costumes for stop frame animation.
I take my inspiration from my observation of everyday people and occurrences, and from objects I come across which I find beautiful or interesting. I like to use these objects that might otherwise be overlooked and make them special. Similarly I enjoy documenting small human interactions and making them into stories.
